ACCOMMODATION

The Dragon Cruck was created from timber that Mike sourced from working as a tree surgeon. It is a timber framed Cruck building with a joint called the Dragon joint hence its name! It is situated in its own secluded site in a wood above Sunnylea with views down the beautiful Vyrnwy valley.

There is room at the Dragon for 2 adults, sadly we do not take children or dogs at the Dragon Cruck.

The Dragon also has a Hiki hot tub for your use, see booking for details.

ESSENTIALS

The Important Stuff

Inside the Dragon Cruck there is a wood burning stove which will keep you warm even on the coldest day. An initial supply of wood, kindling and firelighters is provided, more is available to purchase on site..  This is a place for peace and quiet, to enjoy the outdoors but with warmth and comfort. The cabin has spectacular views down the Vyrnwy valley. It is lit by candles in lanterns and solar lights, as well as the glow from the fire. The Dragon Cruck is a cabin in which to relax and recharge and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings.

Cooking

The Dragon Cruck is a self-catering retreat and we’ve crafted a separate camp kitchen just next to the cabin which has a pizza oven, as well as a triple gas burner and a beautiful bespoke wooden sink. There is also a fire bowl to sit around and enjoy the clear skys at night with a glass of wine!

Meifod is the closest village at just a mile away, and has a shop for the basics. There is also a pub The Kings Head serving good food.

Facilities

There is a washing up sink at the side of the Dragon Cruck and a Treebog compost  toilet 30 paces away from the Dragon Cruck with a view into the hills.  The Dragon Cruck has its own private shower situated across the meadow from the cabin.
